2018 Volunteer of the Quarter: Q4

by: Edward Vargo, Director of Volunteers

Congratulations to the PCMA Southeast Chapter 2018 Volunteer of the Quarter (Q4): Amanda Wyatt, CMP, The Coca-Cola Company

Thank you Visit Music City and the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corporation for sponsoring the PCMA Southeast Chapter Volunteer of the Quarter and the Year program. Amanda Wyatt, CMP, Global Event Project Manager for The Coca-Cola Company was the recipient of our Volunteer of the Quarter award for third quarter 2018.

We asked Amanda a few questions about why she serves:

Why do you volunteer with PCMA?  I volunteer with PCMA as a way to connect with other industry associates while serving our community. The hospitality industry has so many wonderful people with all types of unique backgrounds and skills to contribute in their own way. I’ve really enjoyed serving on the Community Service Committee over the past few years and working with the team to give back.

What inspires you most in volunteering?  Volunteerism and community service are very important to me and my family – it’s easy in this digital age to feel disconnected from our communities.  If I can make a difference in someone’s day, even in a small way, that’s what it’s all about – helping our neighbors and building a stronger community.

What would you say to others to get them involved?  Every contribution matters – even a small effort once a year can make a big impact.  Come out, make connections, and make a difference!
