Dear PCMA SE Community,

On February 5, 2020, your PCMA Southeast Chapter held an Emergency Preparedness Educational & Networking session @ the new Gateway Arena @ GICC. At that time more than 20,000 cases of COVID-19 had been reported, 98.9% of them in China. The outbreak up until then was estimated @ 400+ deaths. The number of infections outside of China was small–approximately 180. The virus had been detected in 26 countries, including 11 cases in the United States. E-L-E-V-E-N!

Fast Forward just 50 days…

There isn’t any need to detail the current stats of the virus and the impact on our world, as everyone is feeling the impact now and the data is certain to change in the foreseeable future. The good news is that China is about 9 weeks ahead of us and they are in recovery mode.

We will recover!
