Message from Molly Johnson- PCMASE President 2022

If you couldn’t attend the February 17 & 18, chapter meeting in Charlotte, you missed an incredible event!

The chapter’s first meeting in North Carolina and first two-day event was bursting with networking opportunities and a vast lineup of education beginning with some impressive insights from Tracy Montross with American Airlines on the future of group travel; an enlightening session on contracts with Attorney, Sam Erkonen; a charcuterie tutorial from Caesar’s Entertainment which led into an informative F&B panel with professors from Johnson & Wales University.

And that was just Day One!

Day two culminated with a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion panel with honored speakers: Cleo Battle, President & CEO of Louisville Tourism; Connie Kinnard, VP of Multicultural Tourism Development with the Greater Miami CVB; Elliott Ferguson, President & CEO of Destination DC and Sherrif Karamat, PCMA President & CEO. Santiago Aguirre-Montoya, Global Membership Manager at IGLTA joined us virtually. These industry leaders shared their diverse backgrounds and how the event industry can lead the way to create a more inclusive world. We are all Better Together!
