Central Florida Educational Event – AV Production – Witness the ‘Show before the Show’

March 30, 2022 @ 11:00 am1:30 pm EDT

“AV Production – Witness the ‘Show before the Show’ – How your partners build and deliver your solutions”

Audiovisual Production Services are a vital part of your Live Events.  Your participants need to See, Hear, and even Feel the messages that we bring them together to share.  Take this unique opportunity to join us at OPAV’s facility and experience a “Behind the Scenes” look at what happens before your event.  In addition, you’ll learn how to best partner with your Audiovisual Production Companies on developing a RFP that provides them with enough detail to effectively help you budget.  Take away the terminology required to understand a proposal and invoice.  Finally, you’ll see and hear about some of the latest technology in the industry and how that technology may impact your events and budgets whether virtual and/or in person.  Experience different sound systems side by side, visualize projection versus LED wall, witness how the push of a button can change the space with lighting.  Food trucks will be available from 11 am – 12 pm to prior to the start of the program. ATTENDEES MUST WEAR CLOSED-TOED SHOES TO EXPERIENCE DEMOS IN THE WAREHOUSE.

 Speakers:

Brandon Berry, President of Business Development
Brandon began his AV career after his graduation from Full Sail University in 2006. In the Orlando region Brandon began to cut his teeth in the freelance AV market, after some time and growth he was found by Visual Aids Electronics and was hired on as their National Lighting Director.

In this role Brandon was finally able to focus on being a “creative,” while still implementing the plan in the field. Leading larger and more complex crews to get his designs built, led Bandon to eventually serve as Project Manager for several General Session styled events.

In a role which required more leadership, Brandon started helping the Sales Team with early-stage RFP designs and began following clients from the first proposal to and through the event. In 2012 Brandon was named VAE Manager of the Quarter and Manager of the Year. Brandon kept his position when VAE was acquired by PSAV until his departure in 2015 for Orlando Productions.

At his current role Brandon has been apart of a lot of growth for OPAV, including the forming of true sales and project management teams and senior management that helps drive the company’s direction. After Tony Brinkman joined the ranks of OPAV the two of them helped rebrand the company from Orlando Productions into OPAV to give a more national presence.

Brandon lives now in Nashville, TN with his girlfriend Megan and their 3 furry babies Pedal, Shade, and Jaffa.

Tony Brinkman, Vice President of Business Development
Tony began his career in the Hospitality/Audiovisual Production industry in May of 2001 as an AV Technician for Visual Aids Electronics (VAE) at the Hyatt Regency Cleveland. He has always been driven by relationships and enjoys meeting new people and forming bonds. Service and leadership have been engrained in Tony since he was 13 years old working for his hometown local school district.

Tony was quickly promoted to be the Manager of Audiovisual Services at the Hyatt Regency Cleveland and utilized his joy of building relationships to more than triple his budget figures via outside sales across the United States. That led VAE to promote Tony to be the Director of Audiovisual Services at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport and thus began an 11 year tenure in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Exceeding budgetary goals and customer service numbers led Tony to the Regional Manager role for VAE in the West. He ultimately had 9 properties that he was responsible for before VAE was sold to PSAV.

After 13 years with VAE, the sale gave Tony a reason to look to move back towards home and the Eastern side of the country. He served as Vice President, Rental and Staging for two years at Visual Sound in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania before joining the OPAV Family.

Tony is a family man and enjoys spending time with his wife Shannon and their four children when he is not on the road. He is one of our remote Family Members and the Brinkmans reside in Syracuse, New York.
