About the CSR Activity:
Give Kids The World Village is an 84-acre, nonprofit resort in Central Florida that provides week-long, cost-free vacations to children with critical illnesses and their families. The Village and its community partners provide children and their families accommodations in fully-furnished villas, transportation, tickets to theme parks, meals, daily entertainment and much more.
Each year 27,000 children in the United States are diagnosed with a critical illness. Half of all children eligible for a wish through a partnering wish-granting organization choose to visit Central Florida and its collection of theme parks and other attractions. The goal, quite simply, is to provide everything these deserving families need to make their trip the vacation of a lifetime. Since 1986, more than 160,000 children and families have had their dreams fulfilled in a whimsical Village unlike any other place on earth.
On September 26, the PCMA SE Chapter will partner with Give Kids the World for an activity at the Island Grove Winery at Formosa Gardens, during which we will be making props for their nightly holiday parties. Holidays aren’t always a guaranteed experience for the families that stay at Give Kids the World Village. Because of that, the village tries to pack a year’s worth of holidays into a wish family’s one week at GKTW. At the Village, every Monday is Halloween, every Thursday is transformed into a Winter Wonderland and pirates and princess comes to life on Friday nights during their Once Upon A Village celebration.

Other ways you can support:
Give Kids The World Village becomes a home-away-from-home during their once-in-a-lifetime trip and it doesn’t cost the families a cent. That’s why we’re taking on the Challenge for Hope. On December 8, we’ll join fellow Challengers at the Village, as we walk, run, roll, or stroll through a 5K that captures the magic families experience during their stay.
Thank you from all of us and the great kids you’re going to help! Learn more and donate here.
