Rockstar Mindfulness with Shelley Brown
June 3 @ 3:30 pm - 4:00 pm EDTFree
Join the PCMA Southeast Chapter for a complimentary webinar, Rockstar Mindfulness with Shelley Brown taking place on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at 3:30pm EDT.
Shelley Brown has created a webinar that is very relevant for our current times. Shelley’s mission is to invite people to explore mindfulness and to understand what it is in the most inclusive and accessible way possible. What’s more inclusive than rock music? Her approach is to demystify the practice by sharing why mindfulness matters, provide a high-level overview of the stress response as well as ready-to-implement exercises and practical tips we can all adopt to begin or enhance our own mindfulness practice that will serve our well being now and into the future.
1 Attendees will learn the difference between mindfulness and meditation and the importance of both
2 Attendees will gain a high level understanding of the stress response and learn how the practice can help restore balance
3 Attendees walk away with several ready-to-implement mindfulness practices for now and into the future
Shelley Brown BELIEVES mindfulness is not what we’ve all been led to believe.
Rather than a focus on what’s often seen as woo-woo, weird and uncomfortable approaches, SHE knows it’s a practice of rock stars…a practice that can transcend “calm”…a practice that trains our brains to embrace and extend time in the present.
Shelley spent over two decades in the events industry in both planner and supplier roles. And, today she remains connected to industry as a speaker, webinar and workshop facilitator inviting us to a practice that trains our brains to achieve remarkable calm, focus and resilience. The end result? We can show up better for our lives and better together.
Participants will be able to join in the conversation using Zoom, but you will need to preregister to get the join link and access code.
This event is FREE!
We encourage you to make plans to join us!
